Dustin Serrano

About Me.
Dustin Serrano is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a degree in Film and Digital Media and a concentration in Production. Additionally, he holds an Associate in Arts degree with an emphasis on General Studies-Arts & Humanities, as well as an Associate in Arts degree with an emphasis on University Studies-Social Sciences. Dustin is a creative storyteller, serving as a Producer/Director/Writer/Editor.
I have experience in producing, directing, and editing for television, short films, and YouTube.
For the past four years, I’ve been a producer and director for the TV talk show A Captain’s Log (IMDb). With its success in smaller markets, I helped develop a second show, Icons: Between the Stars (IMDb), which is set to begin filming in the summer of 2025 and debut in the fall of 2025. Both shows focus on interviewing actors, directors, writers and producers. I’m proud of the work I’ve done, from setting up the foundation of A Captain’s Log to getting the team into conventions like Aurora Con, Comic Con Revolution, L.A. Comic Con, and WonderCon as press. I also helped expand the show to 30+ television stations and grow its YouTube following.
Beyond these shows, I’ve also worked on various projects, including:
-
Producing the film Forgetting Caroline, which was accepted into multiple film festivals, including Austin Film Festival and San Diego International Film Festival.
-
Help in the development for Tech for Seniors, an online program teaching seniors how to use iPads during the pandemic, where I produced, directed, edited, and co-wrote the scripts.
-
Producing an industrial video for Sarsis Web Design - Watch Here.
